· Notes for Consumers: Avoid drinking alcohol 2 hours before and 3 hours after taking Tiopronin EC. You may experience more side effects from Tiopronin EC. Tell your doctor or healthcare professional if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.

· Notes for Professionals: Avoid alcohol consumption 2 hours before and 3 hours after taking tiopronin EC. Tiopronin is released faster from tiopronin EC in the presence of alcohol; the risk for adverse events associated with tiopronin EC when taken with alcohol is unknown.
